Daniel is a Senior Associate in our Singapore office. He has litigated and arbitrated complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes on behalf of corporate clients across a range of major sectors, including in the life-sciences, manufacturing, private equity and insurance industries.

He has significant advocacy experience in significant commercial disputes, including examining fact and expert witnesses, preparing corporate witnesses for hearing, oral arguments, drafting dispositive briefs and appeals, negotiating favorable settlements, and managing teams of associates.

Prior to joining Lindsay Francis & Mangan, Daniel worked for five years at a top-tier Washington, D.C. litigation firm. Before law school, he was deputy press secretary for a U.S. Congressional committee.

  • Representative cases (including prior to joining the firm):

    • Medical Device Sterilization Mass Tort (Chicago, Ill.).  Arguing pre-trial motions on behalf of a medical device sterilization defendant in a $350M toxic tort lawsuit.  Preparing the client’s CEO and CFO for trial testimony.  Managing a trial team of associates and paralegals.

    • Herbicide Products Liability Litigation (U.S. Federal Courts, state courts nationwide) Developing expert witnesses on behalf of a global pesticide manufacturer in a multi-billion-dollar products liability suit brought by over 100,000 plaintiffs.  Examining fact and party witnesses in state and federal proceedings across the United States.

    • Insurance Recovery (Boston, Mass.). Examining and defending expert witnesses on behalf of a railroad to recover insurance for the collapse of a major tunnel.  Managing the associate team drafting a summary judgment briefing.

    • Manufacturing Appeal (U.S. Supreme Court). Drafting a certiorari petition to the U.S. Supreme Court to consider an appeal regarding the proper scope of state-level jurisdiction for out-of-state manufacturers/distributors.

    • Fair Housing Pro Bono (Washington, D.C.).  Examining fact witnesses on direct and through cross-examination during evidentiary hearings.  Arguing procedural motions.  

  • Georgetown University (JD), Amherst College (BA), NCAA All-American (track)

    Daniel is admitted in Washington, D.C. and New York (pending finalization).  He is registered to practice as a Foreign Legal Practitioner in Singapore.
