Liam is an Associate in our specialist litigation and arbitration practice, assisting senior members of the firm and outside counsel. He joined the firm in 2022 after completing his LLB and BA (English Literature) at Victoria University of Wellington. Liam has experience in a broad range of commercial industries. Whilst at university he balanced his studies with sport and community involvement which are still consistent features of Liam’s everyday life. Liam is of Ngāpuhi descent.

    • Infrastructure concession agreement: Representing an international investment bank in litigation relating to the termination of a long-term concession agreement to operate a significant infrastructure asset.

    • Waste management project: Representing a leading national waste management company in proceedings alleging a joint venture and fiduciary duties in relation to the development and operation of a long-term organic waste processing facility.

    • Director duties: Representing a director and associated entities in relation to a substantial $85m claim arising out of a significant construction and real estate project.
